Trajan Fountain

The Trajan Fountain in Ephesus, built around 114 AD, is a stunning example of Roman architectural elegance and engineering. Dedicated to Emperor Trajan, this two-story fountain once featured a colossal statue of the emperor, symbolizing his greatness. It was designed to provide a refreshing water source for the city’s citizens and is adorned with intricate carvings and columns. Although only fragments remain today, its grandeur can still be imagined through its detailed sculptures and reliefs, showcasing the advanced craftsmanship of the Roman period.
